My Story

We all know countless people that have suffered from cancer, we all know the effect it has on the lives of those that suffer and those that are left mourning the loss of loved ones that have lost the battle. I have decided to run for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation(ACRF) to commemorate people in my family that have passed due to cancer, as well as, support the ones who have or are currently suffering. My Grandma who is one of the most influential people in my life, has suffered from pancreatic and breast cancer. My Grandpa, who always lifts me up with his contagious smile is currently suffering from bile duct cancer, which has recently spread to his lungs and is now terminal. Their battles have motivated me to fundraise for the ACRF, assisting with their mission to create a world without cancer. All donations go towards cancer research, which has resulted in improvements in cancer prevention, screening and treatments! Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. Thank you in advance for your generosity, your support is much appreciated xx

June 21, I had to say goodbye to my beautiful grandpa. They say God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers and there is no doubt that Grandpa faced one of the hardest battles there are full of bravery, strength and hope. Despite being knocked down and made to endure things no one should, he remained positive. Even through his suffering, he had a positive outlook on life that I hope I can emulate one day. Although nothing will ever be the same and there is now an emptiness that may never be filled, he is free from pain and discomfort. He is now at peace. Cancer took you away from me way too soon Grandpa but we will find a cure so no one has to suffer the way you did. On August 12, I’ll be running for you my precious angel. Je t'aime grand-père.

Thank You
