My Story

Less than a week to go until the City to surf and I am kinda ready! This year has been a real roller-coaster for me, diagnosed with Breast cancer in February I have had surgery and nearly finished six months of chemo (only three weeks to go and counting!) I can’t say it’s been fun but I do think I am lucky - lucky to have good friends, family and work colleagues because everyone has been so great. I have created this page because I want to make a difference. I have met lots of amazing care professional but for me research and prevention is key - imagine a world where cancer is so uncommon that people know little about it...instead of listing numerous friends and relatives in the same position as me - how cool would that be? I'm inspired by the work of National Breast Cancer Foundation and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in The 2018 Sun-Herald City2Surf presented by Westpac. I am in final weeks of chemo treatment, it’s fair to say I am not the fittest I have ever been so it will not be easy but I will give it my best shot. Please help me help NBCF by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about National Breast Cancer Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. If you want to know anything about what’s happening with me just message me. I’ll give you regular updates. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! This may also be the only opportunity for you to see me wearing pink which has to worth something in itself! :)

Thank You
